Everyday more and more people are buying 'next-generation' games consoles. Microsoft's Xbox 360, Sony's Plystation 3 and Nintendo's Wii are all out-selling previous consoles when they were in their prime. Apart from playing the SNES and Gameboy in my youth, I'm not a gamer myself. Never really been a fan of any television related activity but recently I was thinking. What if the old consoles had internet connectivity? Could you imagine playing your friend at a game of Donkey Kong, Sonic or Mariokart!?!?
I know that there are versions of the old games redesgined and republished fro the newer platforms but seriously, you cannot beat the original 4-bit cartoon graphics of the SNES. So the plan is this, buy the rights from Nintendo, play about with a SNES and attatch an internet connection to it and volia!
I'm thinking it may no be that easy, but one day I will make the SNES have the proper hardware needed to go online. You may be laughing now, but it'll be me laughing when my Diddy Kong throws a barrel at yours, when I'm three streets away!!!!!
